23.03 the monument to Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko in Kharkiv was lined with sacks to protect against bombing. The monument’s height is over 16 meters, and Taras Shevchenko himself is 5.5 meters. The statue is now a monument to the Ukrainian people, who protect its culture even under the shelling. This became possible thanks to the state program for the protection of cultural heritage sites.

All footage was taken from the ground with a photocamera. By Serhii Prokopenko, Gwara Media, 3D scanning as a war journalist. Fedir Boitsov and Alik Kadoum, Pixelated Realities, 3D artists.
