Visit XRСulture at the Europeana Conference

XRCulture is a consortium digitizing cultural heritage with unfriendly surfaces and producing XR scenarios for CHIs, where Pixelated Realities is a partner, is proud to participate in the Europeana Conference, taking place on June 11–12, 2025, at the POLIN Museum in Warsaw.
This annual event brings together Europe’s digital culture community to exchange ideas, showcase innovations, and explore the 2025 theme: “PRESERVE, PROTECT, REUSE.”

Europeana is made possible by the collaboration of three interlinked expert organisations who share the vision of a cultural heritage sector transformed by digital, and a Europe transformed by culture.  We at Pixelated Realities are active advocates for the creation of Europeana national aggregator of Ukraine based on museum.mcsc.gov.ua. As part of the ResPol initiative, and recognising the fact that movable heritage digitization is part of the Strategic goal of MCSC for 2030, we have high hopes of Ukraine joining Europeana as a member in the short term perspective.

XRСulture stand

Conference participants will have the opportunity to visit the XRCulture stand in the foyer exhibition area and engage directly with our team. Discover how our team is transforming cultural heritage using AI-powered 3D digitisation and extended reality (XR). We’ll be presenting the tools, workflows, and early prototypes we develop in the context of Europe’s cultural data space.

Workshop: Unlocking the future of 3D through open solutions

We’re also hosting a workshop where participants will get a closer look at our approach on 3D web viewing and publishing, and our ongoing development of an open middleware for cultural heritage.

Preserving 3D cultural heritage assets requires not only high-quality digitisation but also robust, interoperable and sustainable frameworks for their management and accessibility. As part of the XRСulture project, an open middleware that will enable seamless integration of 3D models with web-based visualisation platforms and publishing pipelines for the common European data space for cultural heritage is being developed. This workshop, aligning with the ‘preserve’ theme of Europeana 2025, will offer participants a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and development of this middleware by sharing their needs and expectations.
