Ochakiv Gate

Ochakiv Gate

Ochakiv Gate in Kherson is a part of the defensive fortifications of Kherson, built in 1783 as part of the Kherson fortress complex. It is an architectural monument of national importance. This gate is identical to another entrance of the Kherson fortress – the Northern Gate. Surveyed: the outer and inner parts of the gate.

On November 11, 2022, after 256 days of Russian occupation, the city was liberated. The expedition was carried out after the de-occupation of Kherson. Due to the proximity of the historical part of the city to the Russian positions on the other side of the Dnieper, during the filming there was a constant threat of shelling from MLRS. Each building in Kherson during the expedition was surveyed for 20-30 minutes, after which the operator and crew changed locations. Filming was done with a drone and a camera from the ground.
