Kramatorsk

ver the past few months, Kramatorsk has been subject to regular shelling and massive destruction. This city in Donetsk region is called the main target of the Russians in the region. Kramatorsk is both in the rear and practically on the front line.

From April 12 to July 5, 2014, the city was occupied by militants of the terrorist organization “DNR”. In the same year, after liberation from the occupiers, the structures of the Donetsk regional administration were moved here – thus, Kramatorsk became the new capital of the Donetsk region.

On April 8, 2022, Russians from “Point-U” fired at the Kramatorsk railway station, where hundreds of people trying to evacuate Donetsk region were. More than 60 people died from shelling, more than 100 were injured. This is the largest mass murder in Kramatorsk since World War II. Before that, Kramatorsk was the main evacuation hub for residents of Donetsk region.
